As an intercultural trainer and enthusiastic cultural expert, I am currently concerned with the question of online netiquette, especially when an intercultural group comes together in online format. How can I prepare for webinars, telephone conferences and meetings with international colleagues* and customers? What do I need to consider?
When dealing with different cultures, it is a good idea to observe yourself. How do you react and why? What leads to a lack of understanding? Intercultural situations are often the source of misunderstandings because we assume that the world is only “normal” as we know it. My advice here is to change your perspective and to be curious.
